In order to become a food member and one of the owners of the cooperative, you need to purchase a membership share. One membership share costs 200 euros.

It is possible to try out the membership for three months, before becoming an actual food member. If you decide to not become a member after your trial period, you only pay the price of the harvest bags you order.

We currently have two types of food production at the farm: field production and eggs. To order the yield of one type of production, you need to own a share of that production type. So, for example, if you order a regular harvest bag, you need to have one membership share. If you order the regular harvest bag and eggs, you need to have two membership shares, one for field production and another for eggs.

You can share the membership with others. One of you will be named as the official owner of the membership share, and the others can be registered as co-owners or harvest buddies. You can for example share your harvest bag with someone else by agreeing to pick up the bag on alternate weeks.

Harvest bags

Once you are a full member, the harvest bags are ordered for the whole summer or winter season, each lasting approximately 6 months. As a food member, you can choose to pick up the harvest bag in one of three places: at our member space situated in the Kallio district in Helsinki, straight from our farm in Tuusula, or at the Järvenpää library. The delivery days and prices are confirmed for each season.

In general, our regular harvest bag (field production) forms a good base for a healthy diet for 2-4 people. Naturally, the amount of food in the bag varies depending on the time of the season and the level of harvest yields each year. The price of the bag is calculated based on the estimated yield of the whole season but is paid as a monthly fee.

Prices for the winter season 2026

The winter season has started in January 2026.

Field production:  135 € /month (Food bag every week)

Half-bag 68€/month (Food bag every second week)

The Food bags vary according to the seasons:

  • From the vegetable garden we get root vegetables such as potatoes, beetroot, carrots, parsnips, swedes, turnips, as well as peas, beans, kale, and winter and summer squash.
  • From the greenhouse we harvest various tomatoes, lettuces, and herbs.
  • From the forest garden we pick cherries, apples, pears, rowan berries, and plums.
  • From the fields we get grains, groats, and flakes, from which we also make pasta and sourdough bread.
  • In spring we gather wild herbs and vegetables. In winter the harvest is smaller and focuses on sourdough bread, cold-pressed oils, and freshly ground grains as well as legumes.

Eggs: 25 € /month when ordered together with the field production bag  or 35 € /month without the field production bag

The harvest bag for eggs consists of 20 fresh eggs on average.
